I realize this is old, but the group I sit with (meditate) are members of (I am too) of people who try to raise awareness. For a long time I have been talking with my teacher about making se#### ab@@@ our raising awareness issue (as a group). My group is very close and coincidentally has 3 practicing therapists in it (they do NOT do therapy with anyone in the meditation group - boundaries are very clear. Recently domestic abuse has become more of a forefront. We all feel it is time to begin making a statement, raising awareness, education of public. We have ties to shelters etc.. I welcome feedback and discussion if anyone is interested in this dialogue in structuring a conversation with my group. SA versus domestic ab or Family Violence as the trend to label is on the east coast. (I was SA by my mother as a young child, emotionally by whole family, SA throughout teen years by teacher, married one who also SA some of the children. Family Services knew what was going on but could not pin it on him. Police in 2 towns strongly suspected but could not pin it on him)
